Property crunch in Preston

Property For Sale Preston, Property for Rent Preston, Property to Let Preston.

Due to the current inactivity in the housing market many estate agents are struggling to make ends meet and a number in the Preston and Fylde area have ceased trading.
The government is talking about having a stamp duty holiday, while this sounds encouraging it is hard to see how it will efect the market, will it be for everyone or just first time buyers, how long will it last and will the stamp duty have to be paid at a later date are some of the questions that spring to mind.
Despite the number of agents that have ceased trading the majority that remain have had to diversify into lettings which has had a knock on effect on the lettings agents. Whereas previously property was "bought to let" we now have the phenomenon of "let to buy" whereby people who need to move let their existing property in order to fund the purchase or letting of a second property.
